From Banking Access to Programmable Money

Our journey didn't start with blockchain. It started with a simpler question: who does the financial system leave behind, and what would it take to build for them properly?

Where It Started (2021-2023)

Restart was founded in 2021 by a group of immigrants who had personally experienced how difficult financial access can be for people the system wasn't built for.
We launched banking for immigrants with an 8-language interface in September 2021 - designed from day one for people navigating a financial system in a language that wasn't their first.
Five months later, the Ukrainian refugee crisis hit. We built a unique KYC and onboarding process in weeks to get displaced families banked when conventional onboarding would have taken far too long. That work led to a partnership with the Liberty Ukraine Foundation, recognition from American Banker, and a win at the Inclusive Fintech 50.
We kept building for the communities other institutions overlooked: a white-labeled digital bank, Dora, for Hispanic immigrants, loan production integrated with a community bank, and a gamified savings experience built around charity:water - turning everyday banking into a tool for generosity, not just transactions.

Where the Work Evolved (2024-2025)

In 2024, we launched the Levanta landing app and partnered with Eagle Venture Fund and Ecoo - extending our work into new markets, including Singapore.
In 2025, the work moved decisively into blockchain. We built CSS Coin - a stablecoin and point-of-sale payment ecosystem for Switzerland's largest health insurer, live across 1,400+ merchants within six weeks of launch. We tokenized physical silver into SILbar - a working wallet, point-of-sale, and barter payment system that makes a physical asset spendable like a debit card.

Where We Are Now (2026)

In 2026, we partnered with TrustBridge Global to build blockchain infrastructure for a trust fund operation managing billions in assets across multiple countries - unifying workflows, automating reconciliation, and producing real-time audit trails for an operation that had outgrown the systems it was running on.
The thread connecting every chapter of this journey hasn't changed since 2021: building financial infrastructure for people and institutions who deserve better than what the system currently offers them.
Today, that means programmable money - stablecoins, tokenization, and blockchain infrastructure - for faith-driven enterprises, trust funds, and values-led organizations who need infrastructure built to the same standard as their mission.
